"Lillian" Lillianne Blanche (Sevigny) Edin of Stratham NH passed away January 18th 2026 at the age of 101 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family.
She was a "leap year baby", born February 29, 1924 in Dover NH. She was the youngest of 10 children born to Armenie and Eugene Sevigny. She is predeceased by her siblings: Geoffrey, Merina, Dolores, Walter, Clarina, Mariange, Adrienne, Gerard and Bertha. Lillian is also predeceased by her close friends Joe Grenier and Phyllis Craig.
She is survived by her 4 children Lisa (Steve), Eric (Deb), Carl (Sue), Lori (Paul). She is also survived by her grandsons who she loved so dearly: Andrew, Adam and Nathaniel. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews and extended family as well as dear friends. Her 60-year long friendships from River Road, Claire and Ruth, were so important to her. They stopped by each other's home regularly. She also treasured her 80-year friendship with her dear friend Eva. Lillian would tell anyone she met how much she loved her job. For years she was the face of the Baily Corporation in Seabrook NH where she'd greet employees and visitors as the receptionist and switchboard operator.
Somehow, she managed to enjoy many pastimes while working and raising 4 children. She loved dancing, she loved creating many beautiful arts and crafts. She enjoyed attending plays, learning something new at the Merrill lectures in Exeter, finding something special at a yard sale or an old dump. She did some volunteer work along the way, in the elementary school library and helping seniors in the community. Lillian lit up whenever she was around babies and children. She loved every animal she met and especially her beloved cats and dogs.
She had an amazing memory and maintained her sharp wit to the end. She lived her life to the fullest and had a lot of fun along the way, making life fun for those around her too. Getting her to the "uncontrollable laughter" stage was always a treat!
She loved holidays and time with her family. Her life was defined by the love and care she spread to others. We were so blessed to have her all these years and will miss her every day the rest of our lives.
