Lillian Kessler passed away peacefully at home on Friday October 11th, 2024 at 99.
Lillian is predeceased by her husband Charles Kessler and her son Donald Kessler. Lillian is survived by her children Robert (Sandra) Kessler, Sherry Griffo, and Mark (Lorelei) Kessler. She has 13 grandchildren, Donald Kessler, Chuck (Lisa) Kessler, Laura (William) Hill, John (Corrine) Kessler, Diane Vargas (JR), Robert Kessler Jr., Josette Owen, Carrie (Tom) Lester, Tom (Melissa) Griffo, Shauna Clark, Matthew (Rachel) Griffo, Stephen Kessler and Scott Kessler. Lillian has 23 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild.
Lillian was a devoted mother who cherished spending time with her family. She was well known for her warmth and the strong sense of togetherness she fostered within her family. One of the most beloved traditions was hosting large Christmas dinners at her home, where family and friends would gather to celebrate the holiday season. They were a central part of her family's holiday traditions, a time when multiple generations came together to create lasting memories. Lillian continued to host these dinners into her late 80's, always ensuring that everyone felt welcome and loved. Her ability to bring people together and make every holiday special is a legacy that her family will treasure for years to come.
Lillian was affected by Alzheimer's Disease. Lillian was cared for at home by her children and daughters-in-law at home.
Calling hours will be Monday October 21st, from 5-9pm at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Cecilia Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
