Ms. Lillian Louise Merrill was born on December 2, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Mr. Walter Merrill and Ms. Lola Walker. Lillian was raised by her cousin, Mrs. Sally Ann Cork.
"Fats", as she was affectionately known, attended and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.
Lillian was in a lifetime partnership with the late, Leo Sonny Sisk. During this relationship two children were born, Nicole Monique Merrill and Thomas Edward Merrill.
Lillian was employed in domestic services at a variety of hotels in downtown Indianapolis until retirement.
Lillian was an active member of First Free Methodist Church. Lillian enjoyed being around family and listening to music. She was a kind-hearted individual who never met a stranger. Lillian was also famous for baking cakes and cooking soul food.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Walter Merrill, Ms. Lola Walker, and Mrs. Sally Ann Cork; partner, Leo Sonny Sisk; sisters, Cynthia Ann Stewart (Cork), Joyce Knox, Ruthee Miller, and Willie Mae Lampkin; brothers, Albert Lee Martin Sr., Marvin Cork, and Larry Cork.
Lillian leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Nicole Monique Merrill; son, Thomas Edward Merrill (Mercedes); stepdaughter, Yolanda Mojaji (Morgan); grandchildren, Tyrest Merrill, Doris Merrill, Marrian Merrill, Thomas Merrill Jr., Anthony Howell, and Carmine Howell; brothers, George Foley (Ora), Taft Foley (Sherry), Leonard Martin Jr. (Kathy), Lee C. Martin Sr. (Pamela), James Robert Williams, Rex Allen Cork, and Glenn Sisk; sisters, Wanda Ledsinger, Dora Martin, Bellee Sisk, Faye Turner, Pauline Cork, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
