Lillian Delois Patterson Moore (78 years) was born on April 3, 1946, in Smithfield, NC to the late John David Patterson and the late Zelphia Youngblood Patterson. She was the third of five siblings. Lillian attended and graduated from Richard B. Harrison High School in Selma, NC, and took classes at the local community college. She was married for twenty-five years to Phil Edward Moore, and their marriage resulted in the birth of their five children. She was baptized and attended the Selma Church of Christ. Her warm smile, quick-wit humor, big-beautiful eyes, welcoming spirit, and comforting presence will be greatly missed; still, the lessons she taught us — of compassion, patience, and unconditional love — will live forever in our hearts.
