Lillian Karen Russell

Lillian Karen Russell (nee. Owsley), 78, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025. She was a caring daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who treasured every moment with her family and loved ones.

Lillian will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and wonderful sense of humor. She embraced life with enthusiasm and found joy in staying active and engaged with others. She loved taking part in the many activities at her senior center, whether it was crafts, games, or social gatherings, she was always ready to join in and encourage others to do the same.

A lifelong Detroit Tigers fan, Lillian rarely missed a game on TV and could often be found cheering for her team. One of her recent highlights was taking a trip to Comerica Park with her friends, a day she cherished. The outing combined two of her favorite things—baseball and spending time with people she loved.

Her presence brought warmth, comfort, and joy to everyone she met, and her absence will be deeply felt. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation for Lillian will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 12:00 - 4:00pm at Manns Family Funeral Home,17000 Middlebelt, Livonia, 48154.
