Lillian Sharp, age 91, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Graham and Rev. Pat VanDyke officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Morning View Cemetery in Bluff City, TN.

Lillian entered this life on November 24, 1932, in Bluff City, TN to the late Nick and Glenna Massengill Newton. She was a dedicated educator and devoted her life to teaching within the Clarksville Montgomery County School System. With a Master’s Degree, she exemplified the qualities of a life-long learner and inspired countless young minds throughout her career.

Lillian was more than just an educator; she was a pillar of her community. A member of First Baptist Church, Clarksville, her faith played a central role in her life. She was an active in various organizations including the Order of The Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, and Order of the Amarnath. Through these affiliations, Lillian made significant contributions and fostered connections that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, John “Nick” Sharp.

She is survived by her three daughters, Donna (Wayne) Liverett, Della (Stephen) Vickous, and Darla (Jerry) Kitchen; nine grandchildren, Lori (Steve) Wright, Nick (Missy) Liverett, Luke Liverett, Jon (Christie) Vickous, Matthew (Monica) Vickous, Leah (Danny) Smith, Jennifer (Trey) Smith, Jeremy Kitchen, Jake (Misty) Liverett. She was also blessed with 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Donations may be made online at gorainbow.org
