Lillie Mae Eachus, age 90, passed away on January 1, 2026 in Houston, TX. Lillie was born in Kansas to Albert and Anna Pearl Schmidt on September 30, 1935. She was the fourth of six children.

Lillie grew up in Kingsville, MO and graduated from Holden High School in 1953.

She later moved to Kansas City, MO and went to work for the phone company there. While in Kansas City she met John R. Eachus. They were married in 1959 in Las Vegas, NV. Lillie and John lived in California for a couple of years and then moved back to the Kansas City area. They were there until 1974 when John's work took them to Houston, TX.

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John, on April 23, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings Irene Hinze, Elmer Schmidt, Arminda Reifsnider, and Steve Schmidt.

Lillie is survived by her three children; Colleen Eachus of Aurora, CO; Michael Eachus of Dallas, TX; Kevin Eachus of Houston, Tx; and sister Mary Lou Marti.

Lillie was a kind and loving mother, sister and wife. She and John raised their children to value integrity and compassion. She enjoyed gardening and was a lifelong learner. Lillie embraced the Information Age and was technology savvy. Her gentle nature was a light that shined warmly on those who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Klein Memorial Park Cy-Fair, 14711 Cypress N. Houston Rd., Cypress, TX 77429.
