Lillie Mae Williams

Lillie Mae Vines Williams, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished family matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Bakersfield, California, at the age of 91.

Born on April 12, 1934, in Zwolle, Louisiana, to Albert and Lula Vines, Lillie Mae was one of ten children. Growing up in a large, close-knit family helped shape her into the strong, compassionate, and devoted woman she remained throughout her life.

On October 30, 1948, she married the love of her life, Edward C. Williams. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, and unwavering dedication to family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and her daughter, Virginia "Ginnie."

Lillie Mae leaves behind a lasting legacy through her children: James (Kathy), Frankie (Marsha), Gail, Mary (Ralph), and Nadine; her sister Evelyn Bragg; 22 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Affectionately known as "Grandma," she was a constant source of love, wisdom, and comfort. A gifted storyteller and devoted woman of faith, she lived her life with deep love for Jesus and her family. Her kindness and strength will be forever remembered.
