The love between sisters is unconditional and unwavering. It's a bond that can never be broken. On August 21, 2025, two sisters who loved each other dearly, Lilly and Libby McCain departed this world together.

Lilly, born Lillian Clair McCain, was born August 22, 2006, in Rome, GA, to her loving parents, Heather and Ben.

Lilly was an old soul. She was creative and headstrong. A ray of sunshine; she was happy and bubbly, lighting up each room she walked into. She was the go to person for so many of her friends; their rock who was always willing to lend an ear. As a child she showed her love by picking all the flower blooms in the yard to put in vases and as she grew older, her talent in the kitchen blossomed and she loved cooking delicious meals for her friends and family.

Lilly graduated with the Spring Garden High School Class of 2025 in May. She was the pitcher for the high school softball team for much of her high school career. She credited her time on the team for shaping her into a young lady she was proud to be. Lilly had just entered Jacksonville State University as a sophomore, driven and excited for what was to come.

Lilly and Libby are survived by their mother, Heather Warren McCain, of Tallapoosa, GA; father and stepmother, Ben and Beth McCain, of Centre, AL; aunt and uncle, April and Chris Roberts, of Tallapoosa; cousins, Emma, Bryce, and Bo Williams, Molly Roberts and Lane King, and Taeleigh Jenkins; and stepbrother, Luke Lloyd. They are preceded in death by her grandparents, Ajax and Otilla Warren, Florence McCain, and Roger Ball.

A celebration will be had for Lilly and Libby on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 1:00PM CST at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Centre, AL with Rev. Rick Jennings and Rev. Ricky Pollard officiating. A eulogy will be given by Molly Roberts. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be John Welsh, Jacob Welsh, Cayden Thompson, Tanner Ruark, Johnny Baker, Mason Bearden, Connor Bates, and Mason Wood.

The family will receive friends at the church Monday, August 25, from 4:00 to 7:00PM CST.

All those attending are encouraged to wear their favorite bright colors to honor the lives of the bright and beautiful young ladies.

The family is immensely grateful for any flowers shared in their memory. Donations can also be made to the funeral home, which will benefit a scholarship in their honor, so that their lives continue to leave a positive impact in their beloved communities.

Due to potential service issues, the service will be recorded and uploaded later today.
