Linal James "Jim" Bailey III, age 77, of Beaverton, passed away at MidMichigan Medical Center on July 15, 2025, with his immediate family by his side. Per his wishes he is being cremated and there will be no service at this time.
Jim was born April 30, 1948, to June Helen Hydorn and Linal James Bailey Jr. of Bay City, Mi. Jim is survived by his sister Bonnie Lynn LaPointe of Beaverton, his stepsister Constance Ruth June of Bay City, his daughter Jennifer Rebecca Alice (Dan) Hock of Saginaw, his son Scott Raymond (Jennifer) Moore of Bay City, his daughter Jaqueline June (John) Cherry of Saginaw, and his grandchildren Josiah, Chayton, Loring Hock, and Alexander, Patricia, and Zonabelle Moore. He was predeceased by both his parents, his wife Rachel Fern Bailey, his stepson Eric Loren Bailey, and his stepbrother Richard Michael Jane.
Jim worked in construction for many years followed by long-haul trucking for several years before retiring. He loved golfing, bowling, shooting pool, needlework, puzzles, and detailed coloring. Jim was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Midland, Mi. where he sang in the church choir for many years and loved the Lord.
You took a piece of our hearts with you, but we know it was your time to go and let your body be healed. We love you. So, until we meet again, we will always remember that there are no scars in Heaven.
With love, your family.
