Thank you again for this opportunity to speak of Dr. Chinnery. He was a dear family friend to my brother Douglas and to the Charity family of Surry. He was present at many of our family events. He was also my PCP. I can remember when I mentioned to Dr. Chinnery my concern about taking my different pills,most of them were supplements, his response to me was, " Take the pills; they know where to go". I think of him often as I take my daily supplements. Dr. Chinnery is missed dearly by many individuals. We thank God for each of the special memories of him. in JESUS name

To Dr. Debra Chinnery and Family:
My heart goes out to you and all the members of your family upon the death of your beloved husband, Dr. Lind Chinnery. As his beautiful obituary and the tributes attest, Dr. Chinnery had outstanding accomplishments as a student, teacher, physician, husband, father and grandfather. I am sure that you are receiving the important support that family and friends can provide at a time like this. But I know that inner rationalization and an acceptance of the fate of all human beings are of little comfort and cannot fill the void left by the passing of such a great man. I am sure that, although he would expect you to mourn, he would not want you to suffer. Continue to rejoice in his memory.

Dr. Chinnery was a compassionate and thorough physician who cared for three generations of my family. My grandfather met Dr. Chinnery at Newport News General and followed him to his private practice. He will be sorely missed. The family has my deepest sympathies. I am grateful and blessed that he treated my family.

Omg I just found out today about Dr. Chinnery. My heart goes out to Dr.Debra and the family. He was a "Great" physician to my BFF, and cared about the well being of his patients! So sad but I know he is home with the LORD! Im "Still" in shock!

I was very shocked and saddened to hear about Dr Chinnery.
Dr Lind was one of the first physicians I called on as a pharmaceutical rep. He was always so fun to visit and we enjoyed discussing sports and both loved talking jazz music.
He was a good man , a great doctor and I will really miss him.

We are never told when, where or really why when God calls for us. God called Dr. Chinnery to be with him because his plans up there are greater and bigger than anything down here on earth. We had the honor of knowing him. Although we know it´s Gods choice to take Dr., it is heartbreaking because he was more than a doctor, he was a friend, he and his wife became my family!
It saddens me and my kids deeply to know he will no longer be here on earth.
I started to think, Dern who can have these manly talks with my son now .
You were one spectacular human being and you will be missed!
We love you Debra and will be here if you need us as you´ve always been there for me and mine!

My husband Sean and I offer our deepest sympathy. Dr. Chinnery was both our doctors until he was no longer under our plan. He was a wonderful and caring physician. He noticed almost immediately my allergy to a popular hbp medication of which I'd been on with that annoying cough for quite some time. Each visit he'd sit and listen to my concerns patiently. I know many as well as myself are hurting learning if his death. My prayers of comfort and peace are wished upon his wife and family.
