Linda Alexander Obituary

Linda Alexander

Linda Kay Alexander peacefully passed from this life on June 18, 2025 at Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Manchester, TN at the age of 76. She was born in Greeneville, TN on July 31, 1948 to her late parents Richard Kenneth Marshall and Joyce Graves. She was also preceded in death by her husband Verlon Max Alexander. She is survived by her two sons and their wives Keith Sampson (Kristie) and Marshall Alexander (Taylor), grandson Hayden Sampson, special cousin Cheryl "Sparkle" Kite, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Linda was a graduate of the final class at McDonald High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from ETSU. Most of her career was spent at Greene Valley Developmental Center helping the residents and their families. Later, she spent time working at McDonald Elementary School with students and teachers across many roles. She also continued her career working at Child Advocacy Center of Greene Co. with underprivileged, at-risk, or otherwise needy youth in their homes and communities. She gave back to her community in the best way she knew how.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, to honor her memory by donating to local schools and community programs supporting local underprivileged youth, Save The Children, or Children International.

There will be a gathering of friends on Saturday June 28, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown.
