Linda Arvelo Obituary
Linda was a devoted mother to two wonderful and beautiful daughters, Alicia Ameur and Jennifer Dahman. Loving husband to Wildolfo Arvelo. Loving sister to many siblings, especially her late sister Susan Crocker.
For many years, her home in the Beachmont section of Revere, served as the glue and center for many family & friend gatherings. Linda was an artist, creator, and problem solver. She loved people from all walks of life and cared for them deeply. Her work history is testimony to that love for people. She served as a nurse's assistant at Winthrop Hospital, counter manager for Ralph Lauren in Filene's in Boston, and as an Admissions Assistant at Bunker Hill Community College, where she stayed for 20 years until she retired in 2007. Linda loved the educational environment and helped many students achieve their goals. Linda accomplished many things with her creative talents which included knitting, decoupaging, creating party favors, antiquing, decorating, photography, poetry, and makeup.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Wildolfo Arvelo, daughters Alicia Ameur and Jennifer Dahman and her best friend Piper. Linda is also survived by grandchildren Joseph Ameur, Amina Ameur, Tanner Dahman, and Tucker Dahman as well as her niece and her husband Charo and Jay LaFratta and their children Sofie LaFratta and Jake Lafratta, and nephews Julian Gooley and Matt Crocker. Linda was extremely proud of her daughters and grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Linda gave herself fully to those she loved. She was always a giver and never a taker. Her sense of humor and zest for life and antics always made her a favorite of any crowd anywhere. She had many fond memories from her travels to Italy, Greece, England, Ireland, Alaska and Puerto Rico.
Linda served as wife, best friend, companion, advisor, and chief champion and muse to Wildolfo. "Thank you for coming into my life and for 31 wonderful and loving years. I will miss and think of you every day of my life and will love you for eternity. Until we meet again, my sweet love."
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's name to the NHSPCA (NHSPCA | New Hampshire SPCA), Cross Road House, Inc. (Cross Roads House | A Secure Transitional Shelter), or the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire (https://blackheritagetrailnh.org).

I am saddened to hear this news of Linda's passing. We worked together for many years at Bunker Hill C. C., mostly in the same department. She was a valuable and talented colleague who shared a sense of calm, a sense of humor and a sense of purpose for students, staff and faculty. I was very sorry to hear about Linda's passing. I will always remember Linda as a very caring individual and a strong student advocate. She was at her best when helping students who needed support. She was a great listener, patient with students, and could always be counted on to guide students to the appropriate person or resources in order to move them beyond their challenges. So sorry for all of our loss , Linda was a very loving and caring person. She always had time to talk and listen and give great advice. I personally will miss her so much, I wish I lived closer so I could have had more special memories. I´m thankful that she had a wonderful husband who loved her more then life itself, he put her first always and took care of her til her last breath, Wildo my brother in law. Dear Will and family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Linda was a beautiful, kind and generous person, and I feel truly fortunate to have known her. I will always remember her laughter - especially when she was teasing Will, which I am convinced, was one of her favorite past times. She also loved talking about her daughters, her grandchildren, and her siblings - she always had so much to share. Willie and family, my heart is breaking with you to hear about Linda's passing. EVERY day,she brought complete kindness,beauty and love to all at BHCC. I am saddened to hear the news of Linda's transition. In addition to the many years we shared as friends and colleagues at Bunker Hill, we also had connections to people she knew that I worked with in film and television, as well as those she knew through her work as a makeup professional. Always delightful, I loved telling her stories that would make us both laugh. Her warmth and commitment to people were endearing qualities that really inspired so many of our students.
