Linda Aldridge Ballance, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. A native of Caswell County, she was born April 21, 1944 to the late Carlton Huise and Edna Rudd Aldridge and was the wife of the late Durant Murray Ballance III.
Linda retired at age 74 from BB & T as an Insurance Agent and was active in various insurance groups. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in McLeansville and attended Oakview Church and Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church. She loved having dogs during her lifetime and especially her dog, “Eddie”. Linda was a giving person. Linda enjoyed dancing and traveling in her younger years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Aldridge of Yanceyville and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings, George Irvin Aldridge, Shirley Dabbs and Bobby Aldridge.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, her sister, Carolyn, Tonya, Terri and Dot and the nurses and staff of Authoracare Hospice.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Oakview Church by Rev. Todd Harris with the burial to follow at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45PM prior to the service at the church and other times at her residence.
