Linda Bradley, 76, passed away peacefully at Silvercrest Memory and Assistive Living, Monday, October 13, 2025 in Katy, Texas. Linda was born in Paris, Texas on July 25, 1949. Her family moved to the Houston area after her father's death when Linda was 8 years old settling in Texas City. She graduated from Texas City High School.
She worked for a short time as a waitress at Walgreens before going to work at Texas Employment Commission. She worked her way up the ladder to be a supervisor in unemployment and various other programs before retiring after 30 years. She was not ready to actually retire so she went to work for Harris County as a Court Clerk and in Bond Forfeiture before retiring after 15 years at the age of 65.
Linda loved to sing but not as a soloist. She loved to dance and travel. Linda was shy but she was always willing to volunteer and be active. She met the love of her life Dr. Ed Bradley on a literal blind date, since Ed was blind. They were married in August 1988. She became very active in activities that Ed was involved in such as The Lions Club, Houston Council of the Blind, American Council of the Blind of Texas and National. She also was very active with National Beep Baseball Association, volunteering as a scorekeeper and in the end as a sighted spotter on the field.
She is proceeded in death by Dr. Ed Bradley, her parents Oscar and Helen Hart, and her niece Tina Hart. She leaves behind her brother Ronnie Hart, his wife Rickie Hart, nephew Tony Hart and his wife and family, stepchildren Lynn Henry and James (Jim) Glenn Bradley, along with 5 grandchildren Cori Rae Johnson, Jillian Shae Henry, Elizabeth Renee Bradley, Alexander Glenn Bradley and Braden James Bradley.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm at St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 2003 West 43rd Street, Houston, TX 77018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephens United Methodist Church.
