Linda Keener Brice

Linda Keener Brice, 91, born in Killeen, Texas on October 24, 1934, and passed away in Shreveport, LA on November 4, 2025.

A graveside service to lay Linda Keener Brice to rest will be held at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville, TX at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Services will be officiated by Dr. Tom Harrison.

Linda married the love of her life, Maben Thornton Brice on May 20, 1956. She graduated from Gatesville High School and then went on to play basketball for North Texas College. She worked for Agnew Town and Country Day School, starting out as a bus driver and finishing as Ms. Agnew's assistant; she worked there until the school closed. After, she went to work for her husband at M. Thornton Brice & Associates until his passing in 2017.

Linda loved to work in her yard, planting flowers in the beds and planters, trimming shrubs, and even mowing the grass for a while-until she and the lawnmower took a dunk in the bayou. During swimming season, she swam laps in the pool, walked the neighborhood daily, and even rode her bicycle into her early 80s. She enjoyed playing games and being outside with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren until she was no longer able. Linda loved her family and did her best to stay in touch with the SISTERS. She was a devoted member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and a member of the Slay Sunday School Class. Linda loved watching sports-the Dallas Cowboys and LSU Tigers were her favorites.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Nora Keener, and sisters, Phay Nelle Bledsoe and Gladys Chastain. She is survived by her sons, Curtis Brice and Bobby Brice, wife Erika; four grandchildren: Jordan, Alexis, Megan, and Ashley; and five great-grandchildren: Austin, Brooks, Landry, Louis, and Bowen.

Pallbearers are Curtis Brice, Bobby Brice, Jordan Brice, M.D., Lee Boynton, Jimmy Evettes, and Dr. Tom Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to a charity of the donor's choice.
