Linda Diane Britt, age 72, of Sylvania passed away Monday, March 17, 2025 at Memorial Health in Savannah.
Ms. Britt was born September 2, 1952 in Bacon County to the late Walter Milton “Buddy” Hallman and the late Helen Yarbrough Tootle. She was a member of Reidsville Church of God and a graduate of Appling County High School in the Class of 1970. She later graduated from Reinhardt University and then received her master’s degree from Georgia Southern College. Ms. Britt retired from the Appling County Board of Education as a teacher. She had an artistic talent and loved to crochet and draw. She also enjoyed reading her Bible and singing.
Survivors include her sons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Britt of Reidsville and Carlton (Stephanie) Britt of Statesboro; sisters, Mary Ann (Aaron) Williamson of Denton and Debra (Asel) Rish of Broxton; brother, Michael (Shirley) Hallman of Baxley; and five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Williamson and Rev. William Prince officiating. Interment will follow in Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Allen Hallman, Dakota Britt, Clint Parham, Alex Herrington, Aaron Ellis, Donnie Myers, Shannon Hutcheson, and Dameon Hutcheson.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
