Linda Joyce Bullock, 78, of Meridian, passed away at Ochsner Rush Medical Center on Monday, May 13, 2024.
She was born to Robert D. and May Belle (Tubbs) Swallow in Lawton, Oklahoma, on June 2, 1945. Linda will be remembered as a strong woman, and a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother by her devoted family. She was a faithful and devoted member of Meridian Church of Christ. For many years, she and her husband, Charles, owned a bait shop on Pine Springs Road on the way to Okatibbee Lake. Linda enjoyed spending time and camping with her family at Okatibbee.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles William Bullock; daughter, Joyce E. Thomas; twin boys that passed at birth; nieces, Rita, Donna, and Leeann Maness; and her brother-in-law, Bill Maness.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammie Dunn (William) and Tina Malbrough; brothers, Bobby Swallow and Ronny Swallow; sister, Mary Ann Maness; along with a legacy of seven grandchildren and sixteen great grands.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 10-11 am at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North, located at 7774 Hwy 39 N, Meridian, MS. The funeral service will take place following the visitation in the chapel beginning at 11 am. Burial will take place at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton.
