Linda Marsha Camano (Fenniman), born on September 2, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away on January 4, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Brooklyn. She was the cherished daughter of Bertie and Ingrid Fenniman and the devoted sister of Gerald and Eugene Fenniman.
Linda was the proud mother of Lisa Mayorga, Steven Mayorga, and Stacey Camano. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Dino Portalatin, Jessica Portalatin, Brendan Pribish, and Gisselle Mayorga, as well as her great-grandchildren Isabell Quintana, Ryan Quintana, Scarlett Aponte, and Aramais Aponte.
Linda spent much of her life in Brooklyn, where she worked primarily in secretarial roles while raising her three children. She embraced life with a vibrant spirit and a deep appreciation for culture. Fluent in Spanish thanks to her friends and neighbors, Linda loved dancing to Latin music and took pride in displaying artwork inspired by Native American and indigenous traditions.
A creative soul, Linda enjoyed crocheting blankets and scarves, often gifting her handmade treasures to others. She also had a passion for puzzles, which she would complete, frame, and share with loved ones. Her hobbies extended to collecting stamps and memorabilia of the British Royal Family, as well as listening to music from the 1950s-a soundtrack that brought her joy throughout her life.
Linda's love for animals was evident in her fondness for horses, a motif that adorned many of her belongings. Known for her kindness and sensitivity, she also possessed a strong-willed nature and an unwavering dedication to protecting her family.
Visitation will be held at Daniel Schaefer Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. A burial service will follow at Pinelawn Cemetery on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 12 p.m.
Rest in peace, Linda. You will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew you.
