Linda Caruso Obituary

Linda A. Caruso
Linda A. Caruso, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully, at home, on November 10th. She was a lifelong resident of Hamden, CT. Linda was a tireless advocate for her family. She left behind a legacy of love and compassion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Linda's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife and mother who gave selflessly, always putting others before herself. Her home was a place of comfort and refuge. She took special joy in being Grandma Linny to her grandsons, Max and Dougie. She loved them to the moon and back! Linda was also a proud nurse, who worked for many years at the Whitney Center in Hamden. Her patients always appreciated her strength, her grace, and her ability to find light even in difficult times. She was a compassionate caregiver. Linda is survived by her husband, Valentino Caruso, children, Valentino Caruso (Rawan Gomaa) and Dawn Caruso (Bobby Stannard), sister, Kathy Prece, grandkids, Max and Dougie, as well as her daughter-in-law, Sara Schmidt. She leaves behind countless friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Though she has left this world, her strength and her commitment to family and friends will continue to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Friends are asked to go directly to church. Burial in Centerville Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, from 4 - 7 p.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.siskbrothers.com .

Val and Family,
I am very sorry to read of Linda's passing. From what I read she seemed to be a very strong lady and a pillar of strength not only to her family but to many of her "patients" who needed comforting. I am thinking that when she meets the Lord, he will say what we all want to hear "Well done my good and faithful servant". Blessings to her family and May She Rest in the eternal Peace of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
