Linda Davis Cates, 83, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at Kansas City Hospice House. She was born December 2,1941 in Kansas City, MO to Earl and Mary Lou Davis. Linda was a caring, devoted Christian, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She retired from Unity after working 32 years in Silent Unity.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Robert Cates, Sr. and sister Leona Malone (Mike). Her three adult children; daughter Debra Myers (Robert) and their 2 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren; son Russell Roderick (Carol) and their two grandchildren; son Randall Roderick (Jeanna); stepson Mike Cates (Christina) and their 2 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren; stepson Robert Cates, Jr. (Dawn) and their three grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren; stepson Randy Cates and his one grandchild; and stepdaughter Deanna Wantz (Luke) and their two grandchildren.
Services will be held at Longview Funeral Home on Friday, February 21,2025. Visitation is 11;00 am, service at Noon and burial at 1:00. Celebrant is Pastor Scott Sudin of Word of Grace Fellowship Church.
