Linda Leah Chapman

Linda Leah Chapman, age 87, of Freeport, passed away peacefully at Freeport Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Born on February 25, 1938, in Freeport, Illinois, she was the daughter of Willis and Junetta (Brown) Blaisdell. Linda graduated from Freeport High School in 1955 and retired from the Thermos Company in 1989.

Linda was a creative spirit who enjoyed arts and crafts, roller skating, and music-often playing guitar and singing. Her love for the theater led her to perform in many productions at the Winneshiek Playhouse in Freeport. A devoted member of the Freeport Church of Christ for 25 years, she formed lasting friendships and touched many lives.

She is survived by her children: Lee (Donna) Rundall of Marion, IA; David (Lori) Rundall of Cedarville, IL; Scott (Sandy) Rundall of Peoria, IL; and Judi Snyder of Freeport, IL. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James P Chapman, and her grandson Christopher Rundall.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday October 12, 2025 at 2 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
