Linda and Oscar, my husband's dad always welcomed us to stay whenever we were in Ogden. They helped us when we had to move out of state, after my hubby James joined the military. She was a very sweet lady, and I am glad that that the family has some fond memories from when she and dad were married. Rest in peace, Linda.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I remember her kindness when I stayed with her and my uncle Oscar after moving to Utah. She went out of her way to make sure that I felt at home. I enjoyed visiting with her fun sense of humor.

Linda and my father, Oscar, married in 1984, and spent many happy years together before they divorced. Linda rallied her nursing friends to my aide when I ended up in the cardiac intensive care unit at Bannock Memorial Hospital. She was at my father's side, along with my mom, when my first child Nick was born. When my husband and I lost our second son at Primary Children's in SLC, she and my father were there - watching over my husband as he held Sean while he took his last breath.
Linda was a great cook and made a fabulous pie crust, letting me in on her secret to put the flour and shortening into the freezer for a while before adding the water. She was also a voracious reader, introducing me to author John Irving
by giving me a copy of Cider House Rules. His books have become some of my very favorite.
The very first piece of Godiva I ever had was from a box that Linda's sister Charlene had sent her for Christmas - Linda was so thrilled with the gift and loved her sister for it.
Linda did her best to take care of her disabled sister Karen, taking over responsibility for her after their father Charles died. Karen was a sweetheart, but also a challenge, and Linda - with help from my father - enjoyed having Karen in their lives. I am sure that Linda and Karen are now having conversations that they could not have on this plane.
Although my father and Linda divorced, they remained in touch and friends for the rest of the time that Linda was alive. Linda will be missed.
