Linda Cox-Jones, 78, of
Longview, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 5, 1947, in Gilmer, Texas, to Glenn and Verlie Bledsoe.
Linda grew up in Gilmer and later made Longview her home, where she lovingly raised her family as a devoted homemaker. Her family was the center of her world-she would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Christmas was her favorite time of year, when she could see the joy on their faces as they opened gifts she'd so thoughtfully chosen.
Linda loved to travel, especially going on cruises and making trips to watch her children and grandchildren in their various activities. She also enjoyed a good visit to the casino-especially when she was winning. At home, she found peace sitting on her back porch watching the birds and wildlife, or relaxing inside watching General Hospital and finding new treasures at HomeGoods to decorate her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Verlie Bledsoe; her son, Jason Cox; daughter, Tisha Cox; grandson, Mason Garza; and the father of her children, Larry Cox.
Linda is survived by her husband, Rick Jones; daughter Liana and husband David Niblett; son Brad and wife Emily Cox; son-in-law Roger Ward; stepdaughters Lisa and Alex Loudon and Kristy Jones; grandchildren Haylee and Chris Cooper, Rylee and Karsyn Niblett, Nolan and Abby Cox, Ryder Ward, Sara Loudon, and Sage Henton. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Robert and Hiroko Bledsoe, Patsy and Doug Woods, and David Bledsoe, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Services celebrating Linda's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the chapel at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Linda will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she poured into her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the laughter, memories, and love she shared.
