Linda Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Marler Funeral Home - Cushing on Feb. 15, 2026.
Linda Beth Davis, 78, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and faith.

Linda was born on March 6, 1947, to Roy and Sarah Ray in Fort Cobb. She grew up with a deep appreciation for family and community-values that remained central throughout her life.

A longtime and faithful member of the Church of Christ, Linda's strong faith guided her in all she did. She lived her beliefs daily, serving others with kindness, humility, and grace.

Linda devoted more than 35 years of service to Cushing Public Schools, working in the superintendent's office. Her dedication, professionalism, and warm spirit made her a valued and respected presence within the district. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she built over the years.

Outside of her career, Linda found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved flowers and gardening, taking special pride in nurturing blooms that brightened her home and yard. She also enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories along the way.

Above all, Linda cherished her family. She especially treasured the time spent with her three daughters and grandson, Zachary Peters, who all brought her immense pride and happiness.

She is survived by her three daughters: Christi Gallagher (Jim) of Bentonville, Arkansas; Tanya Peters (Mike) of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Tori Dhimmar of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and her grandson, Zachary Peters. She is also survived by numerous other loving relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Linda's life was marked by devotion-to her faith, her work, and most importantly, her family. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steadfast love, and the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her.
