Linda M. (Willey) Dickey, age 75, passed away peacefully and pain free on April 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born June 22, 1949, to the late Clayton and Beverly Willey. She grew up in Greensboro, Vt. on the family farm with her 7 siblings. She went to school in Greensboro and later graduated from Goddard College.

She raised her family in the Greensboro area. In the mid 80’s she reconnected with her high school sweetheart, David Hill. Linda and Dave mowed lawns in the Greensboro area and Caspian Lake for many years. When they weren’t working, they enjoyed going to yard sales, fishing and ice fishing, and going to the Big E Fair. She lost her beloved Dave in September 2021.

Linda worked many years at Quality Controlled Stitching where she worked her way up to the manager of the St J QCS, where she met many lifelong friends. Her favorite job, though, was in recent years working at Smith’s Store in Greensboro Bend, where she made the BEST pizza. If you ever had a pizza made by Linda, you know how great they were (made with love).

Although Linda loved her family, she also loved her horses Dusty and Misty, AKA Honey Girl, goats Daisy and Clover, and her side kick her cat Otis, AKA Turkey, who she loved watching the birds with. Darwin, her daughter’s dog, was very special to her, too. She loved doing things with her family like going to the beach and having BBQ’s. She loved Christmas and giving gifts. Her favorite thing to do was wrap a gift in many boxes to make the fun last. She always made you feel special; everyone will miss her fun-loving spirit.

She is survived by her children: Roy Willey and Kelly of Sutton, Vt., Terry Dickey and Tonya of Greensboro Bend, Vt., and Brandy Newland of East Burke, Vt.; four grandchildren that she cherished: Zachary Willey and Shanna of Lunenburg, Vt., Jacob Winterson and Casey of East Burke, Vt., Jadyn Newland and Jasmine of Sheffield, Vt., and Ashley Dickey and Brett of Wolcott, Vt.; four great-grandchildren that she loved dearly: Khrystaliah Grace-Ann, Brantley James, Kashdyn Jacob and Khrystopher Koldyn. She is also survived by brothers: Dennis Willey and Nancy of Hardwick Vt., Frank Willey of Kentucky, and Kervin Willey and Marilyn of Wolcott, Vt.; sister Beverly Gilman and Stanley of Littleton, Nh., and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents Clayton and Beverly, brothers Larry, Richard and Roy, nephews Clayton and Lawrence; very special sons-in-law Robert Newland; Suzy Broome who she loved like a daughter, David Hill the love of her life.

The family would like to send gratitude to Molly, the Staff Nurse at Caledonia Home Health, nurse Libby and all the ICU staff at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) for all the comfort and care you gave all of us.
