Linda Doherty Obituary
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Linda Carol Doherty on February 5, 2026, at Sheridan Nursing and Rehab. Linda, born to Guilford Lee and Lois Wheeler on December 19, 1943, she was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Lee Doherty of Sheridan, sister Delia Heffinton, son Micheal Lee McCullough, granddaughter Tammy Watson, and Michael Wayne McCullough.
She is survived by Charles Wheeler, Patricia Kay Montgomery and husband Greg, Robert Wheeler, all of Texas. Linda's cherished children, Ricky McCullough and Nancy, Debbie Watson, Earl Wayne Ross Jr. and Joy, along with grandchildren Amanda, Ricky, Brian, Kayla, Jessica, Ashley, Cliff, Sara, Dustin, Jacob, Cody, and numerous nieces and nephews, will forever hold dear memories of her culinary creations and nurturing presence.
Linda's visitation will take place on Monday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Buie and Cole Funeral Home, 1301 South Rock, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150. The funeral service, led by Bro. Don Goodman, will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Buie and Cole Funeral Home in Sheridan.
Linda will be laid to rest at The Black Cemetery in the Staves community in Cleveland County, with no graveside services. Linda's legacy as a compassionate maternal figure to all who had the privilege of knowing her will be greatly missed.
