Linda Dorsey Obituary

Published by Legacy from Sep. 25 to Oct. 1, 2025.
Linda Lee Dorsey, a loving and inspiring beacon of strength, was born on December 5th, 1955 in Lewes, Delaware. She departed this life on September 12th, 2025. Her life was a living example of one of her favorite quotes: "The fragrance of flowers spreads only in the direction of the wind. But the goodness of a person spreads in all directions." Linda, known for her supportive and generous spirit, had an extraordinary ability to touch lives and make a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Linda spent her early years in Rosedale Beach, where she fell in love with the "boy next door". This enduring love story led to a beautiful marriage with Alexander. Together, they raised a beautiful family on the other side of Millsboro - family, children, and grandchildren were what mattered most to Linda. She had a remarkable career in Direct Care at the Stockley Center, where she dedicated her life to serving others with compassion and love.
Linda was a woman of many passions. She found joy in cooking, listening to gospel music, and spending cherished time with her family. She was also an avid fan of the Lakers and had a soft spot for Kobe. Linda's love for crocheting, shopping, doing her crossword puzzles, and journaling revealed her creative and intellectual sides. Her life was a testament to her generous spirit, and she found profound fulfillment in bringing joy to those around her.
Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration. She is survived by her husband Alexander; her children Quentina (Kenny), Alex, Octavia, Laquita, and Brad; her grandchildren Kenya, Donshae, Kavon, Alexis, Malakai, and Shauna; her siblings Anthony (Linda), Emma, and Forrest, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Jackson and Mary Bailey; her siblings Ronnie and Gladys; her brother-in-law Quinn; and her son Kevin.
As we remember Linda, we encourage everyone to celebrate her life, her passions, and her unwavering commitment to family and service. We invite you to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. Let us remember Linda Dorsey, not just for the inspiring life she lived but for the loving legacy she leaves behind.
