Linda Freeman Edwards, 81, went to her Heavenly home on October 20, 2025. She was born on February 8, 1944 to the late John Wesley Freeman and Grace Crater Freeman. In addition to her parents, Miss Linda was preceded in death by her sons, Larry W Norman, Jr., and Stephen K. Schultz. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Norman Phillips; granddaughters, India Phillips Chipman (Derek), Chelsea Phillips Johnson (Jacob); six great grandchildren, Ellis Johnson, Nolan Chipman, Crew Chipman, Reid Johnson, Oliver Chipman, and Harlow Chipman.
Miss Linda was a faithful member of Island Ford Baptist Church in Jonesville. When her pastor, Charlie Kennedy, and wife Kristen met mustang driving, fiery redhead Linda Edwards, they became instant beloved friends. She adored the Kennedy children, “my Kennedy boys” as she called them. She loved her church family and she leaves a multitude of good friends.
A memorial service for Linda will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 2PM at Island Ford Baptist Church in Jonesville with Pastor Charlie Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00PM. Miss Linda requested the Kennedy children to sing and Braylin Kennedy to play the piano. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
