A memorial service will be held at a later date at the VFW in Gulfport for Mrs. Linda Evans.
Mrs. Evans, 74, of Scooba, passed away at her residence on Sunday, August 21.
She had served as a Registered Nurse for over forty years and served her country in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lt . Mrs. Evans served during Desert Storm. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother who dearly loved her family. Mrs. Evans loved her “fur-babies” and the family said that she “loved shoes.” She gave of herself to others selflessly.
She is survived by her daughter Nicolle Young (James); son Chad Evans (Casey); grandchildren Madisyn Elizabeth Evans, Ashton Arthur, Aaryn Simons, Kaitlin Evans, Morgan Renee Defelippo (Deanna), and Brandon Cody Ainsworth. Mrs. Evans is also survived by her great-grandchildren Grace Nicolle Williams, Samantha Lynn Williams, Nautia Elise Defelippo, Vivian Inez Defelippo and Elinna Grace Defelippo along with special friends Kathleen Olsen, Judith Word and Casey Word.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Gladys Gossett; husband Charles Edward Evans; brother Russell Gossett and cousin Fred Gossett.
