LINDA SUE FERGUSON, 67, of Buda, TX entered eternal rest on February 10, 2023. Linda was born in Austin, Texas to Edward and Aurora Amaro Sr on July 24, 1955.
Linda was raised in East Austin and went to Johnston High School. She worked as a Patient Call Coordinator for Austin Regional Clinic for 20 years, where she developed life-long friendships and recently retired in January 2023. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking for others, and shopping with friends.
Linda took great pride in spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She attended all school events, sporting events, birthday celebrations and any milestones big or small, no matter what, she was always in the stands with a smile. She cherished her friendships and was always ready to shop, especially her trips to Wimberly market days. She was a devoted Catholic and was a Parishioner at Santa Cruz Catholic Church.
Linda is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Keith W. Ferguson. She is also survived by her two daughters, Nanette Sigala (and husband Roy), Stefanie Mendoza (and husband Frankie); Grandchildren Amber Diaz (Tommy), Alyssa Gil, Angelina Gil, Atiana Sigala, Princeton Mendoza, Emma Mendoza, and Elise Ferguson. Additional survivors are her mother Aurora Sanchez Amaro, sisters Annie Amaro Villasana, Estella Avila, Patricia Amaro, and brothers Edward Amaro Jr (Sandra), Efrain Amaro and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Amaro, Sr.
Visitation will be held from 5:00- 7:00 pm on Monday February 20, 2023, at Harrell Funeral Home of Kyle. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Santa Cruz Catholic Church with Father Jesse Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park 11610 Chapel Lane Austin, TX 78748.
Pallbearers are nephews; Jonathan Amaro, Mathew Amaro, Mason Amaro, Kenny Avila, Anthony Villasana and Brandon Villasana.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the friends and family for their support and kindness through her life and health journey. Special thanks to Hospice Austin and the Kind Heart Home for the Elderly who cared for her until her last day on earth.
