Linda Flaker Obituary

Linda Ann Flaker (Timpone), devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021.

To know Linda was to love Linda. Married to the love of her life William "Bill" Flaker, for 52 years, they had a love story we all wish to have. You would be hard-pressed to find times that they were not together. They truly were great loves, best friends, and incredible support for one another. Linda and Bill had dedicated their life not only to their family, but to the marching band and drum corps communities. She was a valued member, friend, and fan of Music and Arts, US Bands, Drum Corps Association, Drum Corps International, and the color guard communities. If Linda wasn't tabulating scores or selling souvenirs, you could find her talking to anyone who shared her passion for the art.

Linda was predeceased by her father, Robert Timpone; and mother-in-law, Gladys McDonough. She is survived by her devoted husband, William Flaker; mother Tranquil Timpone; her siblings, Nick Timpone, Peter Timpone, Robert Timpone, Patricia Smith; children, Chris Flaker, Michele Greene, Cheryl Flaker; her 15 incredible grandchildren; and two beautiful great-granddaughters; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A wake in her honor will be held on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Manchester Funeral home, located at 142 East Center St., Manchester, from 4 to 8 p.m. At the request of the family, all visitors are being asked to please wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please make a donation to support your local marching band or drum corps.
