Linda Carole Hataburda, 82, of Stafford, Kansas, passed away February 21, 2026, at Leisure Homestead in Stafford.

She was born December 5, 1943, at St. Rose Hospital in Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Albert Clayton and Mildred (Sanders) Griffin. Linda graduated from Coyle High School in Coyla, Oklahoma.

Linda married James Lowell Petrik on July 11, 1960, and the couple later divorced in 1973. James Petrik preceded her in death on August 23, 2004. After living for several years in Las Vegas, Nevada, she returned to Kansas in 1996, and made her home in Hutchinson. She worked in various healthcare positions in facilities throughout the Hutchinson area before moving to Stafford four years ago.

Linda was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene in Slyvia, Kansas. She enjoyed having many small dogs throughout her life, and found great companionship in caring for them. She also enjoyed evening walks with family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Petrik of Stafford, and Terry Petrik (Sonya) of Great Bend; three grandchildren, Stuart Petrik (Dana) of Beaver City, Nebraska, Olivia Petrik of Great Bend, and Katelyn Petrik of Great Bend; several great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Oster (Paul) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and two nieces, Christie Sackschwesky (Alex) of Wisconsin, and April Casey of Grand Island, Nebraska.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Shane Petrik; and brother, Troy Griffin.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. April 11, 2026, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Great Bend, Kansas. Inurnment will follow at La Crosse Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas. Memorials have been designated to St. Mark Luthern Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.

She will be remembered for her love of family and the many small dogs that brought her joy throughout her life.
