Linda Smith High, 72, of Fayetteville passed peacefully with her family by her side Friday, September 12, 2025.
Linda was born in Cumberland County, NC on April 14, 1953, daughter to Oscar Smith & Louise (Smith) Todd. Linda Graduated from Hope Mills High School where she went on to work at Western Publishing. In 1996 she continued her education at FTCC and received her associated degree in Business. She continued her career with AT&T and retired in 2018. Above all else, her faith was her foundation and guiding light. She cherished her role as a mom and mema, finding her greatest joy in the love of her children and the laughter of her grandchildren. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the memories she created and the faith she so gracefully carried through every season of life. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, James High Jr., her father, Oscar (Bill) Smith and her sister, Belinda Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Judy Fitzgerald and husband Benny, Jennifer Miller and Amanda High; her mother, Louise Todd; a brother, Rick Smith and wife Sandra; a sister, Terri Smith; grandchildren, Nicholas Graham and wife Paige, Austin Graham and wife Amanda, Kristen Graham and fiancé Max Yodice, Ashley Clark and husband Nick, Allison Miller and Adalyn Miller; many cousins and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held 12:30 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Crystal Springs Chapel, 1400 Crystal Springs Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bruce Suggs officiating.
Burial will follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery, 2881 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
