81 year old, Linda Howard, of Wheatfield, passed away December 29, 2024, with her loving family around her.
On September 4, 1943, Linda was born to Truman ‘Pappy’ and Edna (Nelson) Stanton, in Rensselaer, Indiana. Linda graduated from Wheatfield High School. She worked at Kankakee Valley School Corporation Office, as their Food Service Director from 1972 – 2015. She married Jess Howard on January 9, 1982. She attended Tefft United Methodist Church. Linda enjoyed taking photos, family, genealogy, and writing poems.
Linda is survived by her loving family: husband: Jess, children: Cherie Peters, Rhonda (Jeff) Wilson, David (Shelly) Howard, Denise Krumwiede, 8 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, siblings: Ron Stanton, Sonja Stansberry, and Diana Allen.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Pappy & Edna, daughter: Edna Annetta Brown (AKA: Netter), brother-in-laws: Carl Allen & Roy Stansberry, sister-in-law: Barbara Stanton, and son-in-law: Richard C. Peters.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Linda will take place at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, with Pastor Dave Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s’s Children’s Hospital or the Schriner’s Children’s Hospital.
