Linda Skelton Jackson

Linda Skelton Jackson, 80, was born on September 17, 1945 in Sturgis, MS to the late Joe Skelton and Annie Bridges Skelton and passed away on October 29, 2025 in Meridian, MS.
She was a retired secretary for the Extension Service at Mississippi State University and a switchboard operator for Baptist Memorial Hospital and Oktibbeha County Hospital. She was a member of Big Creek Methodist Church. She loved arts, photography, music, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, John Skelton and Joseph Skelton; sisters, Christine McCall, Eva Strong, and Olene Dalllas.
She was survived by her son, Corbett Jackson (Tammy) of Sturgis, MS; grandchildren, Sara Jackson, Megan Jackson, Chase Jackson, and Anna Jackson (Mitch Stewart); great grandchildren, Cora Beth Crocker, and Mary Francis Stewart; and sisters, Norma Ruth Cronin of Maben, MS; and JoAnn Williams of Maben, MS.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Big Creek Methodist Church in Sturgis, MS, with the service immediately following. Rev. Randall Jackson will conduct the service. Burial will be in Big Creek Methodist Church Cemetery.
