Linda Janovsky, beloved wife, mother, sister, Nana, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, courage, and kindness that touched everyone she met.
Born to Norman and Joan Stanish, Linda grew up with her brothers, Richard and Robert Stanish, forming bonds of love and loyalty that remained strong throughout her life. Linda had an extraordinary gift for connecting with others-she could talk to anyone, making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. There wasn't anyone who met her who didn't love her. Her gregarious, down-to-earth nature and beautiful soul drew people in effortlessly.
On July 19, 1998, Linda married the love of her life, John Janovsky, in Florida. The two met at work and quickly became inseparable partners in every sense. They shared a deep love for travel, returning to their second home in Florida every three months to enjoy the sunshine, beaches, and local restaurants. Sundays were their special day-going out to eat together and always trying something new. Their marriage was filled with joy, companionship, and the simple pleasures of being together.
Linda was a devoted mother to Derek Musnicki, Samantha (Mike) Reinert, Zachary Janovsky and Skylar Janovsky, offering endless support, love, and encouragement. She was also a cherished Nana to Melanie, Takoda and Kai, who brought immense joy into her life. Linda's natural ability to connect with children-her tenderness, patience, and playfulness-made her a beloved figure not only to her own family but to many others.
A talented artist, Linda expressed her creativity through acrylic painting on canvas. Her artwork reflected the vibrant spirit and compassion that defined her life.
Throughout her illness, Linda faced every challenge with remarkable strength and courage, inspiring those around her with her resilience and grace. Her absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.
Linda will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her beautiful soul and the joy she brought to the world. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at 1524 S. Randall Rd., Algonquin, IL 60102.
