Linda Leigh (Moore) Jones, age 79 of Glade Hill, VA passed away on Sunday, January 11. She was a daughter of the late John Morton and Matilda Jane Moore. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Winston Tyree Jones; two daughters, Carla J. Cooper; Bridget Spangler (Charles); two grandsons, William Justin Copper (Lex), Levi Jackson Cooper; granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth LeDuc; great-grandson, Noah LeDuc; and her beloved dog, Honey Bee.
She was always there for our good days and those that we shed tears. Linda loved her family dearly and spending time with them was of utmost importance, from holidays, birthdays or just those spare of the moment times.
She loved the outdoors, gardening, canning, working on the farm, flowers, and even cutting wood (Daddy just had to make sure her John Deere Gator was running.) She loved animals and made sure no stray went hungry. She was very passionate about doing genealogy. Fall was her favorite season. We took many day trips across the Blue Ridge Parkway to enjoy its beauty. She loved anything with Cardinals in it. They are located throughout her home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Arrangements by Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 VA Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount, VA 24151…540-334-5151
