Linda Kaye Whittemore Green

Linda Kaye Whittemore Green, 70 of Ringgold, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023. She was a life long resident of Ringgold, Georgia and of the Baptist faith. Linda retired from Customer Service at Shaw Industries after twenty-five years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, bird watching, going to casinos and funding the Education System of Georgia by buying "scratchy – scratchy" lottery tickets. Linda's most cherished time was spent with her family, as she was a devoted mother and Nanny to five grandsons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert "Butch" Green; parents, Robert Whittemore and Myrtle Ferguson Whittemore; siblings, Stanley Whittemore, Danny Whittemore, Rosa Bishop; grandson, Blake Mealer. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Jason Wilson) Mealer and Michael (Rachel) Green, step-daughter, Theresa Nichols; brother, Ronald Whittemore; sister-in-law, Anita Whittemore; grandsons, Jacob Green, John Green, Zach Mealer, Caleb Mealer, Garrett Green; niece, Brenda Whittemore Clark, as well as many more nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
