Linda Louise Larson, 84, of Inman, KS, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler, KS.
Linda was born in Sugden, Oklahoma on June 1, 1941, the daughter of George Hurley and Ella Ruth (Boyd) Etheridge.
Linda attended school in Sugden, Ryan, Oklahoma, and McPherson High School, McPherson, KS.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McPherson.
Linda was a homemaker and she took great pride in raising and providing for her family in this manner. She also worked at the Wishbone Cafe as a waitress, was an aide for George's Nursing Home and Pleasant View Home in Inman. Linda worked for Western Auto and for 4 years she worked for the S.R.S. as a family support worker, and retired after 17 1/2 years for McPherson County Council on Aging as Information and Assistance.
She was a member of the Groveland Home Makers E.H.U. and was a great cook and baker.
Linda was united in marriage to Larry G. Larson on June 10, 1957 at Hominey, OK. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson, KS. The family moved around in McPherson County until August of 1968, when they moved to Inman, KS.
She is survived by her son, Lyle Larson (Karyn), of Inman; son-in-law, Craig Allison, of McPherson; grandchildren, Lynsi Giles (Josh), Trevor Larson, Brandi Golemon (Bryan), Jennifer Allison and Jarod Allison; great-grandchildren, Jaylee Giles, Ady Giles, Jaxzen Giles, Remi Golemon, Kourtney Golemon and Kinsley Golemon; brother, Robert Wayne Etheridge (Nikki) of Duncan, OK and sister, Kathleen Stiener (David), of Canton, KS.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; daughter, Lena Allison; sisters, Donna Ruth Etheridge and Cathy Ann Etheridge; and her brother George Wesley Etheridge.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10:00 am at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community or Gentiva Hospice and they can be sent to Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, KS. 67460.
