Mrs. Linda Ann Sester Lazear, 62, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 peacefully at her home.
Born on February 26, 1962 in Litchfield, IL, she was the daughter of Joan B. Hall Sester and the late John A. Sester. Mrs. Lazear was a graduate of Lincoln Land College and St. Louis University. Mrs. Lazear was a former perfusionist for Athens Regional Medical Center, and retired Math & Science teacher for Madison County Middle School. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Hartwell. Linda loved knitting, crocheting, reading books, living on the lake, sunsets, traveling, her dogs, and most of all being around her family.
Survivors include her mother: Joan Ann Hall Sester of Butler, IL; husband: Mike Lazear of Hartwell; two daughters: Samantha Hill (Taylor) of Eatonton, GA, and Mackenzie Lazear (Zach Melton) of Comer, GA; a grandchild: Addison Hill; one brother: Jay Sester of Butler, IL and one sister: Laura Rench of Hillsboro, Il.
It was Mrs. Lazear's wishes to be cremated and a service to celebrate her life will held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. P.O. Box 453, Danielsville, GA 30633, or the Hart County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1062, Hartwell, GA 30643.
