Mrs. Linda Loope, lovingly known as Mamaw, age 82 of Nashville, earned her angel wings on August 30, 2025, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center after passing peacefully from natural causes. She bravely battled congestive heart failure, crippling arthritis and the genetic disorder HHT during her latter years, but never let it interfere with her intense love for family, friends and all things vintage or German, especially Hummel figurines. She was born March 7, 1943, in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Holbert and Thelma Deason Rager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years Ret. Army MSGT Bobby D. Loope and son Daniel M. Loope; two brothers, Claude and Rocky Rager and three sisters, Debbie Shelton, Betty Wells and Virginia Lear. Mamaw is survived by two sons, Coach Doug Loope (Debbie) of Burns and David Loope (Regina) of Nashville; two brothers, Gilbert Rager (Betty) and Jack Rager; three sisters, Lila Bailey (Bob Perry), Dean Sutherland (Pat) and Marsha Hester (Bobby); five grandchildren, Stephanie Taylor (Brian), Megan Turner (JT), Jayson Loope, Patrick Loope (Heather), and Danielle Littlejohn (Patrick); seven great-grandchildren, Kadence, Adam, Caden, Phoenix, Dominick, Emery and Madelyn. As an Army wife, Linda traveled the country and world alongside her dear Bobby and sons, living in Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina, Hawaii, Belgium, Germany and Tennessee. After returning from Europe and settling in Nashville, she had a fulfilling 20-year career in the Department of Veterans Affairs where she proudly helped service members get the benefits earned while serving our country. She was a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who is already missed dearly by those who love her and will always love her so very, very much. We wish we could be with her one more time to hear her sing or laugh, to see her smile or smirk, to hug her tightly and truly thank her for being our beautiful Mamaw…
