Linda A. Lopez, aged 83, peacefully departed this life on September 28, 2025, at her home in Groves, Texas. Born on July 2, 1942, in Port Arthur, Texas, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, known for her loving and caring nature.
Linda dedicated her life to her family, raising four beautiful children: Robert Lopez, Jr.; Armando Lopez and his wife, Brittany; Ronald Lopez and his wife, Missy; and Celita Sanchez and her husband, Alex. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Chloe Lopez, Joaquin Lopez, Jackson Lopez, and Dominic Sanchez, whom she adored with all her heart.
A devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Linda was known for her unwavering commitment to helping within the community, often lending her time to clean the church and actively participate in parish events. Her fellow church members will remember her gentle spirit and dedication.
Linda’s hobbies included her love for shopping and spending quiet afternoons at the library, where her passion for reading flourished. This innate curiosity and joy in learning made her a special presence in the lives of many, always eager to share what she had discovered.
Among her proudest accomplishments was the ability to make everyone feel special, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. Linda’s warmth, kindness, and caring disposition were the hallmarks of her life and will be sorely missed.
Linda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert G. Lopez of Groves, Texas; her children; her grandchildren; and her sister, Lisa Ledesma and her husband, Juan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Henrietta Adams, her brother, Steve Adams, Jr. and her sister, Juanita Falcon.
Visitation will be held on October 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall St, Port Neches, Texas. A Rosary will be held at the same location starting at 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on October 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 3648 61st Street, Port Arthur, Texas.
Linda A. Lopez will be remembered fondly for her nurturing heart, her service to others, and the love she cultivated within her family and community. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
