Linda Lynnelle Bowen, 84, of Zanesville, died at 11:04 P.M. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at The Oaks at Northpointe. She was born December 11, 1940, in Tyler, TX, a daughter of the late Lynn and Jimmy (Thorton) Smith. Linda worked as a cook in the Tyler Texas School System for many years. She found joy in flowers, gardening, and doing crafts. Linda was an animal lover and adored her pets, they were her babies.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Griggs Chadwick; her son, Lance W. Griggs; and grandson, Levi Kontos.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Misti Bowen; and sister, Jackie Smith Berryman.
A cremation will take place under the direction of the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
