It is with profound sadness we announce that Linda Masson, passed in peace with family by her side at the young age of 82, on October 28, 2025. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband and lifelong companion of 65 years, Claude Masson. Linda was the daughter of Earl and Ruth Blache and sister of Eric Blache and Earline Hiley.
She met her loving husband in 1954 and immediately knew he was the one for her. They were married on January 26, 1957, and resided in New Orleans most of their lives. She is survived by her three children: Anthony Masson, Sr. (Diane), Donna Beaubouef (Robert), and Alan Masson (Pam). She has seven grandchildren (Todd Beaubouef, Tallen Beaubouef, Anthony Masson, Jr., Mallory Daly-Masson, Miranda Masson, Brandon Masson, and Carly Masson), and six great-grandchildren (Christian Beaubouef, Alina Masson, Mira Masson, Bennett Masson, Avery Daly-Masson, and Ella Kate Masson) graced this loving couple.
Linda enjoyed puzzling, crocheting, quilting, and all types of crafts. In her early years, she loved square dancing. Friends and family will mostly remember her for her smile, her laughs, the twinkle in her eyes, and her life's story telling.
After Hurricane Katrina destroyed their home in 2005, Linda and Claude Masson moved to West Monroe, LA. Drawn by its small-town charm and closeness to family, they quickly found lasting friendship and faith through the Clark Springs Baptist Church. They were dearly loved by friends Sharon, Dorothy, Bess, and Barbara who loved to play cards, po-ke-no, and dominos on Senior Day. Linda remained active, kind, and full of grace. Her love for Claude was unwavering. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the pride of her life. Linda was deeply loved by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Memorial Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00.m., Rosary at 3:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m.
