Linda Sue McCullough, born on August 21, 1953, in Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, at Northwest Health-La Porte. Over the course of her well-lived life, Linda made meaningful contributions to her community and left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Linda dedicated 38 years of her professional life to customer service at Whirlpool, where she was known for her kindness and commitment to excellence. Her educational journey began at Ball State University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in business and elementary education. This educational foundation not only fueled her career but also demonstrated her lifelong dedication to learning and development.
As a staunch believer in God almighty, Linda found strength and solace in her faith. She was well-liked by many and will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Throughout her life, she showcased a vibrant personality characterized by a love for animals, particularly pedigree pets, and had an extensive collection of purses, reflecting her unique sense of style. Her passion for travel took her to beautiful destinations, including Mexico and Israel, enriching her life experiences. However, what brought her the most joy was spending time surrounded by her family, cherishing the moments they shared together.
Linda faced numerous challenges, including a lifelong battle with polio that began at the tender age of eight. Despite struggling with health issues in the last couple of years, she remained resilient and undeterred, embodying a spirit of perseverance throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving family, including her sister, Brenda McCullough; her brothers, Melvin McCullough Jr. and Alvin McCullough; her nieces, Christie and Natasha; and her great-nephew, Cameron, and great-niece, Cierra. Linda’s parents, Melvin and Treva (Trusty) McCullough, predeceased her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Haverstock Funeral Home Inc, located at 602 Maple Ave, La Porte, Indiana, 46350. Pastor Tim Ahlemeyer officiating. The burial will take place at Patton Cemetery, Indiana, at 1:45 PM.
Linda Sue McCullough leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a deep connection to her faith and family. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all whose lives she touched.
