Our beautiful, charming “Southern Belle” passed away November 9, 2025. She was given the precious gift of life and now God has called her home to heaven.
Linda Elizabeth Brinkley Myers was born on October 31, 1940, in Thomasville, NC to Pearl Beck and Raeford Brinkley and was raised on values of family, faith in God, and Christian living. She graduated from Main Street High School (Thomasville High School) in 1959 and attended nursing school in Winston-Salem.
On November 12, 1961, she married Bradford Myers and became a beloved wife, a loving mother to Eric and a special Nana to grandsons Wil and Beau. One of her most passionate interests in life was adoring the accomplishments of her beloved grandsons Wil and Beau. She was blessed to enjoy her great-grandson Miller.
One of her favorite destinations was Kure Beach. She spent the first five years of life living at the beach. This experience left lasting memories.
She was a devoted nurse, helping those who were sick, with a gentle hand. She always put the needs of her family first, especially their nursing care. She was there for her patients and touched their lives in meaningful and unforgettable ways. She was there when a calm, quiet presence was needed. She was there in the miracle of birth. She was there when a patient needed a gentle touch or an encouraging word.
Those who knew Linda will remember her deep-rooted faith in Jesus. She was a very devoted church member at Carolina Memorial Baptist Church. She cherished the opportunity to serve in many capacities of church life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Raeford Brinkley and her beloved sister, Dianne Brinkley Catlett.
She is survived by her husband, Bradford Myers; son, Eric Myers (Pam); grandsons, Wil Myers (Maggie) and Beau Myers (fiancée Emmy); great-grandson, Miller Myers, and soon to arrive great-granddaughter Maisie Myers; sisters, Nancy Brinkley Jones (Rick), Kathy Brinkley Woods, as well as special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Carolina Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Stuart White and Rev. Tim Landreth officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
