Linda Marie (Boisse) Nawn, 81, of Ashland, MA, passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2025, after a long journey with Lewy Body Dementia. Up until the end, Linda maintained her sense of humor and was loved by all who knew her.
She was born in Marlborough, MA in 1943 to Ernest and Rita Pauline (Perreault) Boisse. Linda graduated from Cosmetology School before her marriage to Kenneth Wayne Nawn. Together, they owned and operated hair salons; Mr. K's in Medfield and later Flair Cut in Medway. Linda earned a certificate in Interior Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, which she used to design her home in Medway. She later spent more than twenty years working as an Interior Decorator for The Fabric Place in Framingham.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Linda (Nawn) Seese of Newburyport, her husband, Byron, and their three children, Zoe, Ryland, and Claire. Amy (Nawn) Caruso of Ashland, and her children, Isabella "Bella", Julia, Anna, and their dog Maggie Mae. She is also survived by her son, Daniel Nawn, and his children, Dylan and Ryan, whom she dearly missed. She is greatly missed by her sister, Barbara (Boisse) Bartush, and her husband, Gerald, of Michigan, as well as their five children.
Linda was preceded in death by; her parents, Rita and Ernest Boisse; her son-in-law, Michael Caruso; her granddog, Katniss; as well as her beloved cats, Kringle and Callie.
Linda was a self-taught artist, crafter, seamstress, and knitter. She then passed on her vast knowledge and artistic inclinations to her granddaughters, spending quality time creating. She enjoyed selling her creations at farmers' markets and craft fairs. Her creativity extended to her love of cooking for her family
and friends.
As a child, Linda vacationed in her family's beach buggy on Race Point Beach in Provincetown, MA. As a mom, she brought her children to the Cape every summer for vacation. As a grandmother, she enjoyedvacationing with her children and grandchildren, continuing the tradition of visiting Cape Cod. She would spend hours playing in the sand and water with her grandchildren, no matter how cold it was! She was a kind, thoughtful, and playful mother. Linda went above and beyond by accruing countless hours babysitting and later as caregiver support for Amy's children while her husband was ill. She taught her grandchildren to paint, cook, sew, and have fabulous tea parties! She hosted sleepover birthday parties for her granddaughters. Linda attended every band and choir concert, T-ball, soccer, softball game, figure skating, dance competition, and recital she could, whether it was across town at Ashland High School or an hour away in Newburyport.
Her family will miss her sense of humor, her creativity, and her pineapple upside-down cake that she would bake for her family's birthdays. Known to her grandchildren as "Gramma Gramma Gramma" and the best playmate a child could have. She made many buckets of squirrel soup and told the liveliest stories; she was sure to always do special voices for the characters in books. Her granddaughters' friends called her Gramma instead of Linda, which shows the type of nurturing person she was to everyone in her life.
Services will be private. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association (https://www.lbda.org/), or to Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton (https://baypathhumane.org/support-us/tribute/).
