Erlinda (AKA Linda) Nunez, 75, of Pecos TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday December 26th, 2024 in Odessa, TX. 

Visitation for Linda will be from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Pecos Funeral Home. Prayer services are scheduled for Thursday, January 2, 2025. A Rosary will Recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025. Mass will be Celebrated for Linda on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Pecos Texas, with Father Jose Longoria De La Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery. 

Linda Nunez was born in Pecos TX to Alicia Rheude on March 5th, 1949. She was raised in Pecos TX where she resided until her death. Linda married Jesus Nunez Sr. on October 14th 1965 in Pecos TX. She worked for many years for Safeway in the produce department, La Tienda in the floral department, and CR Anthony in the sales department before retiring.

Linda was a devoted wife of 60 years to the love of her life Jesus Nunez. Together they had 3 beautiful children; Jesse Nunez Jr, Danny Nunez Sr, and Di'Andra Molinar. Throughout the years Linda served the Lord in many ways including eucharist minister, jail ministry, and most importantly raising her family to follow Christ. She loved many who she was blessed to call her friends talking to them daily. She devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

Her faith in God carried her through many challenges in her life until her death. 

In the words of her daughter, “Mom was a virtuous and beautiful woman full of life and most of all a prayer warrior. Devoted to her Christian Catholic faith, loving and serving the Lord to the utmost. Thank you mom for leading us by example and you will always be in our hearts.”

Linda is preceded in death by her mother Alicia Rheude, her brothers Juan Martinez and Simon Martinez, her sister Susie Ramos, and her grandson Danny Nunez Jr.

Linda is survived by her husband Jesus Nunez, her children Jesse Nunez and spouse Bell Nunez, Danny Nunez and spouse Johanna Nunez, and Diandra (Nunez) Molinar and spouse Adan Molinar. She is also survived by her brother Pete Benavides, sisters Adele Garcia and Sarah Bradley, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and countless friends. 

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Michael Nunez, John Nunez, Joseph Nunez, Jacoby Nunez, Aaron Molinar, and grandson in-law Aaron Cruz.

The family of Linda Nunez wishes to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to home care nurses, doctors, and those who constantly took care or prayed for her.
