Linda Perrine Obituary

Perrine, Linda L.
SCHENECTADY - Linda L. Perrine, 76, of Schenectady, passed away on June 30, 2025, at Albany Medical Center.
Linda is survived by her beloved daughter, Jennifer L. Perrine, who has served a constant source of love, pride and inspiration. Linda was very proud to say that Jennifer was her best friend. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her brother, Paul Scrom; sister-in-law, Edythe Scrom; her dearly loved nieces, Carolyn Scrom, Jessica Hewitt, Kelly Scrom, Kelsey Scrom; nephews, Dan Scrom, Paul Scrom Jr., Franklin Scrom, Richard M. Scrom, Austin Scrom; and grandnieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special friends, Sarah Jean Adams and Tammy Schaible.
She was predeceased by her sister, Terry Scrom, who she was especially close to; and brother, Richard Scrom.
Linda is the daughter of the late Franklin Livingston Scrom and the late June (McDonald) Scrom. She was born in Schenectady and resided in the Capital District throughout her life. She worked for the State of New York, working at the Civil Defense Commission, the Labor Department, the State Liquor Authority and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.
Linda loved to write (she was a published author), spend time with family and friends, listening to music, reading, and her cats, especially Buddha, who she said was her soul cat. For many years, she was a participant in a spiritual group and drew on the wisdom of those in that group.
As a result, she was interested in life's journey and tried to become a better person.
